Life Under The Big Sky - LEWIS & CLARK: West For America.   With his guitar, harmonica, and original songs David will tell stories about the early explorers of the Corps of Discovery, the Native Americans, the frontiersmen and artist cowboys, Glacier Park's Going-to-the-Sun Road, The Bear Song, and even his own adventures as an Alaskan Homesteader.

David's shows are family-friendly entertainment catering to all ages from the young to the young at heart. His shows are a truly unique and entertaining Montana concert experience not to be missed! Cabin Song - An Alaskan Homestead Adventure
Monday & Thursday
The Homestead Act of 1862 has been called one of the most important pieces of legislation in American history. This unforgettable show retraces the expedition of David and three friends as they set out from Atlanta, Georgia to claim and establish a homestead deep in Alaska's wilderness just like the early pioneers. Follow along as the young men hike over miles of vast Alaskan wilderness searching for the perfect homestead site, survive several hair-raising bear encounters, and construct a cabin using only hand tools. The most important lesson learned is that in America, few dreams are beyond reach if you are willing, as the homesteaders were, to "prove up"!

Lewis and Clark: West for America
Wednesday & Saturday
Relive the epic Lewis & Clark expedition of 1804 as the Corps of Discovery began their travel, going more than 8,000 miles - from St. Louis to the Pacific Ocean - to explore the uncharted West in search of the fabled Northwest Passage.

In this engaging performance, audiences will learn about the Native Americans who had the most significant interactions with the Lewis and Clark Expedition: the tension and suspense of the dynamic Teton Sioux; the goodwill and trades of the Mandans; the critical trade for Shoshone horses; the Nez Perce's timely refuge, and the Blackfeet encounter marking the first act of bloodshed. Over the course of the journey, the Lewis and Clark Expedition would encounter 50 differing Native American tribes as they traveled across the Native territories.

West For America is as beautiful and bold as the adventure it recreates, as original as the first idea of exploring the American West. History never sounded so good! : Push and Pull the cumbersome keelboat up the Mighty Missouri, discover the thunderous Great Falls, endure the perilous Bitterroot Mountains, passage through The Dalles, and explore the extraordinary personal hardships and struggles of Sacagawea's Prayer and York. It is the human element, the longing for home, the courage in the face of pending disaster - that permeates this passionate musical creation. Adults: $8.00 Children 6 & Under: Free

Montana! Life Under the Big Sky
Tuesday & Friday
From its colorful past to the present day, Montana and Glacier National Park have come to symbolize the American West. This unique program captures the spirit and essence of our landscape, the historical characters and important events that helped define Montana. Audiences will discover the rich and diverse traditional culture of Montana's Native Americans and learn about the twelve tribes indigenous across Montana. All life has a voice and David honors this in his song, When The Land Belonged To God, inspired by the Blackfeet Creation Tale by the Blackfeet elder, Chewing Black Bones. David will also talk about how the Native Americans were essential to the Lewis and Clark Expedition. How cowboys, western artists, homesteaders and pioneers left their mark on the American West. The song, The Great Northern, highlights how the Iron Horse closed a door on one era while opening the frontier for the next generation. Moreover, with it, the emergence of Glacier National Park. Listen to David's, Going-To-The-Sun, and relive the danger and arduous tasks the laborers and engineers risked as they created the 52 miles of road up to the Continental Divide. This is one historical program not to be missed!

Après Fondue

Many Glacier Hotel Après Fondue
A Deliciously Immersing Pleasure

Your visit to the Many Glacier Hotel is not complete without sampling our very own Après Fondue. The rugged “Switzerland of North America” peaks envelope you as you enjoy Après Fondue while gazing into Glacier National Park’s pristine wilderness. Culinary delights abound when you select the flavorsome Four Cheese Fondue, mouth-watering Montana-Made Chocolate Fondue, or both.

Four Cheese Fondue
Gruyere, Swiss, Parmesan, and Romano blend for our signature Four Cheese Fondue. This fondue classic is served with assorted fresh crusty breads and crisp seasonal vegetables that you dip into this potpourri of melty delight. Do not be shy with the dipping; even children know that cheese makes everything taste better!

• Our signature Four Cheese Fondue will pair wonderfully with a frosty Beltian White due to its hint of fruit, subdued malty flavor, and a slightly citric finish.

Montana Made Chocolate Fondue
Pleasantly complex chocolate flavors combine to create our delectably rich Montana Made Chocolate Fondue. This guilt-free goodness is served with moist pound cake, fluffy marshmallows, and fresh seasonal fruit that you swirl into this deeply satisfying and luscious chocolate. Does it get any better than fresh cut fruit dipped into a pool of rich, creamy chocolate? Of course it doesn’t!

• Our Montana Made Chocolate Fondue will pair excellently with Root:1 Cabernet Sauvignon as it’s a rich red wine with fruity overtones of ripe black current, mocha, and chocolate notes.

Etiquette
As with other communal dishes, fondue has etiquette. Most often, allowing one's tongue or lips to touch the dipping fork will be thought of as rude. A "no double-dipping" rule also has sway: after a dipped morsel has been tasted, it should never be returned to the pot. Did you know that in Swiss folklore, if a nugget of bread is lost in the cheese by a man, he buys a bottle of wine, and if such a thing happens to befall a woman, she kisses the man on her left?

Contact us at 406.892.2525 to book your Après Fondue culinary experience.

State regulations require that all fishing for this species is conducted on a catch and release basis. This is a great waterway to learn or practice your fly-fishing techniques.
